Navigating Your Health Through the Holidays
The holiday season should be about love, connection and joy. However, for many beginning a wellness journey, they can bring unwanted stress and anxiety.
The holidays do not have to make or break you! Try implementing all or some of these tips. Relax, plan ahead and enjoy the season!

📝 Set an intention- Create a clear vision of where you want to be with your well-being when the holidays have come and gone. Re-read this vision and remind yourself periodically.
💦 Stay hydrated- drink at least half your body weight in water. The winter months tend to throw hydration to the side, when in fact we need even more to keep the digestion and the elimination process moving!
🥗 Eat your veggies- foods high in fiber will fill you up and keep you full. Navigating a Christmas dinner table? Start with these foods first and fill your plate. Squeeze in a small portions of whatever else. Avoid over eating by thoroughly chewing your food!
🍪 Re-create your faves-there are healthy alternatives to any recipe! Surprise yourself and family with a delicious alternative!
🚴🏽♀️Move your body- take a family walk, get in a HIIT workout, do some squats while cooking in the kitchen. Elevate your heart rate and boost your mood.
💞Connect call a friend- zoom a family member, spend extra time with your kids. Make time for those who make you feel as good as you make them feel.
😴 Prioritize sleep- stick to your sleep routine! Your hormones depend on it! Our bodies don’t get the memo that we’re on holiday break!
😌 Practice mindfulness- when stress rises, slow down. Take a breath, practice self-care and enjoy yourself!
Happy holidays!
