Healthy Thanksgiving Menu Tips

As you plan your Thanksgiving menu, I have a few tips for making it healthier.

A big one is to roast a turkey rather than frying it. Roasted turkey can be just as juicy and delicious and it saves on calories.

To get the meal kicked off, offer healthy appetizers like hummus and veggies, tomato and mozzarella skewers, and a fruit plate. This will help people fill up a little bit with nutritious foods before the feast (and leave more leftovers for you!)

Plan for plenty of vegetable sides and lighten up some of the typically heavy favorites. Like, butter-laden potatoes. Finally, don’t overdo it in your planning and cooking.

Go for quality over quantity to keep from stuffing everyone! That leaves room for dessert! 😋
