4 Simple Fat Loss Habits

Feeling overwhelmed and unsure of where to start with weight loss?

Repeat the same habit each day until you don’t even have to think about it anymore. Then, pick another of the four habits and repeat. By the time you’ve made each of these four things part of your daily life, you will be well on your way to weight loss success.

  1. Eat protein with each meal. It’ll fill you up and help ensure that the weight you lose is fat, not muscle. Chicken, fish, lean ground beef, turkey, fat free cottage cheese, fat free Greek yogurt, tofu, jerky, protein power and bars are some options.

  2. Replace one higher calorie snack each day with a fruit or vegetable snack. Easy way to cut calories.

  3. Make the switch to 0 calorie drinks. The calories in drinks can add up fast while doing nothing to satiate you. Water, seltzer, coffee, tea, even diet sodas will save you a bundle of calories!

  4. Increase your movement. Go for a walk or bike ride, do some extra household chores, lift weights. Start tracking your steps (your phone has a step tracker, so you don’t even have to wait until you can order one of those from Amazon) and increase them a bit each day!

Start today. Be consistent with these habits. Build on the motivation that comes from taking action. You got this!
