Sweet and Garlicky Meatball Cups

Hosting your holiday party can put you in a panic! From the house being clean and decorated to making sure there is enough food. The whole planning and executing process can be pretty unnerving. I’ve learned over the years that serving simple tasty appetizers that the guests can nibble on while the main course is cooking is the way to go. A life and time saving tool to use during your cooking is a crockpot. You literally do everything in it! For this blog I’m going to share a tasty appetizer that you can whip up for any type of gathering!

Sweet and Garlicky Meatball Cups

Ingredients:

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup honey

1/2 cup ketchup

2 Tbs soy sauce

3 cloves garlic minced

1 (28oz) bag fully cooked, frozen meatballs (I used turkey meatballs)

1 box of puff pastry

Instructions:

In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey, ketchup, soy sauce and garlic. Place frozen meatballs in a 3-4-quart crockpot and pour sauce over meatballs. Stir so all meatballs are coated evenly. Cook on LOW for 2 hours, stirring occasionally

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly spray a mini muffin pan with cooking spray.

Gently roll out the puff pastry and cut into squares. Cut along the fold and then cut each third into four pieces. Gently press into the prepared pan and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Use the back of a wooden spoon to press the center down - it will be all puffed up.

One box of puff pastry yields 24 cups. Buy 2 boxes if you want cups for all your meatballs.
