Low Cal Apple Crumble
With Thanksgiving being this Thursday, I thought the recipe I’d like to share, would be something sweet, you know as in dessert!
If your table looks anything like my family’s, you’ll have pumpkin, apple, pecan and sweet potato pies. Cakes, cookies and whatever specialty your family has. Along with that is also the fat and calories! I don’t know about you, but I prefer to eat my calories in turkey, pernil, stuffing and mac n cheese…lol. So for me, a light dessert is all I need to end the night. Per my calculations, this recipe is about 190 calories per serving and if you eat half you’ll only be sacrificing 95 calories. You can substitute the apples for pears or peaches! This makes 1 serving but you can double & triple the recipe for a small gathering.
Apple crumble

Ingredients:
1 medium-sized apple diced small
Pinch tsp salt
2 tbsp 1% milk or milk of choice
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 stevia packet or 1-2 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp quick oats
2 tsp wheat flour
1 tbsp canola oil
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F and grease an oven-safe 2-cup dish. In a small mixing bowl, combine first five ingredients (and optional add-ins, if desired). Stir well. In a separate mixing bowl, combine remaining three ingredients and stir well. Now mix everything together and pour into the greased dish. (If you like a more-crumbly crumble, increase the amounts of the last three ingredients.) Bake 40 minutes (in the middle of the oven, not the very top), then turn the oven to high-broil for 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for 15 minutes.

Doesn't it just look like it's guilt free!!!
