My Favorite Summertime Cocktails
I would be lying if I said, I don’t enjoy a cocktail or two! Especially now with the warmer temps. Nothing like a cool refreshing cocktail on the porch or with friends while grilling some burgers. It’s what the summers is all about for us adults.
In the spirit of summer, friends, family and the fourth of July, here are 3 of my favorite summertime cocktails. Wish the calorie content was under 100 calories, but let’s face it, under 200 calories and keeping in mind the rule of “everything in moderation” should keep you in line! Drink responsibly! LOL
Strawberry & Lime Moscato Punch

164 calories per serving (8oz glass)

Ingredients
1.5 liter of Moscato wine
1 can frozen limeade concentrate defrosted
1 cup strawberries diced plus 1 cup strawberries, sliced
1 lime sliced into wheels
2 Liter 7 Up or lemon-lime soda
Instructions
Place 1 cup of diced strawberries and 1/4 cup of limeade in a blender and puree
Run through a strainer to remove most of the seeds
Pour puree into a pitcher
Add remaining limeade and Moscato into the pitcher
Garnish with strawberry and lime slices
Chill in fridge. When ready to serve, pour punch into serving glasses, and then top each glass with 7 Up
Cap n' Ginger

184 calories per serving 8oz glass
Ingredients
2 ounces Captain Morgan spiced rum.
5 ounces ginger beer
Lime wedge
Instructions
Pour the rum over ice in highball and fill with ginger beer. Squeeze in the lime wedge.
Raspberry Ice Tea

Ingredients
1.5 oz. Smirnoff Raspberry Vodka
4 oz of Iced Tea
Pour over ice stir and enjoy.
1 splash of freshly squeezed lime juice
1 slice of lime
Instructions
Fill glass with ice, add raspberry vodka to ice tea, add splash of lime juice. Stir well and garnish with lime slice.
