Heart Healthy Foods You Should Eat 9
We're 9 days into our Heart Healthy Foods Series and I couldn't go without talking about flaxseed!
Flaxseed can be good for your heart health. Flaxseed has been shown in clinical trials to affect (LDL) cholesterol and lipoprotein(a), both of which increase the risk for atherosclerotic diseases (i.e. coronary heart disease, stroke...). It is also beneficial in reducing blood pressure and inflammation and does not affect HDL (good cholesterol).
So Don’t forget to include flaxseeds in your diet if you want to build muscle and have a healthy heart. Flaxseeds taste best when taken along with a glassful of delicious and healthy smoothie or in oatmeal.
