Baked Carrot Fries

Looking for something light to snack on? Something that could easily be used as a side to a turkey or veggie burger? Something family friendly that even the little ones will enjoy!

How does baked carrot fries sound?

If you like carrots and have never tried these, the time is NOW!

These fries will give your kids a healthy dose of beta-carotenes, vitamin A, minerals, fiber, and anti-oxidants. A much better alternative to the carrot French fry’s cousin, Mr. potato French fry, which is fried in oil and offers little to no nutritional value!

Baked Carrot Fries

2 lbs carrots

1 tablespoon olive oil

salt, pepper, oregano to taste

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Peel and slice carrots into french fry shaped Toss carrots with olive oil, salt and pepper. Arrange carrots in a single layer on baking sheet.

Bake for 10 minutes then flip each carrot fry.

Bake until fully cooked and slightly crispy, about an additional 10 minutes. Serve immediately with your favorite sauce! Here I used my spicy ketchup and ranch dressing!
